Show The Sun Advocate - March 23, 1972 Military honored for years of launching The business men of Green River, under the direction of James Banasky and Howard Silliman, hosted a banquet and award presentation to the Army and Air Force, for ten years of successful missile launching from the Green River Complex. The banquet was held at Ben's Seven Gables cafe at 7 in the evening, with a number of Army and Air Force men honored. John Leete, Director of Industrial Promotion for the State of Utah, presented awards from Governor Rampton with Col. John B. Watkins, Jr. of White Sands Missile Range accepting for the Army, and Brigadier-General Herbert A. Lyon accepting for the Air Force. State Senator Omar Bunnell from Price, and State Representative Ken Silliman from Green River were also present.
