Correspondence pertaining to speaking invitations that Eccles declined during 1951. Invitations came from the Channel City Club in Santa Barbara, California; the Rotary Club of Long Beach, California; organizers of a National Association of Real Estate Boards seminar at the University of Michigan (Nov. 8); and the Cleveland (Ohio) Bar Association. Also includes a series of letters involving the Chark H. Getts firm arranging for Mr. Eccles's appearance on a CBS television series, "The Truth of the Matter." Mr. Eccles appeared on the November 14th episode and also spoke for The Town Hall in New York City on Nov. 19. |
