Les Lawrence Making Demonstration 10 |
Style Period |
20th Century Art; Contemporary Art |
Description |
The teapot is nearing completion, with the base trimmed, and a lid and handle added. All parts have been made from the printed cast slab. The handle is made from two thicknesses of slabs to make it stronger. Lawrence is starting to add stainless steel nails to the teapot to resemble rivets holding the slabs together. These nails are cut very short, and inserted into pre-drilled holes. Stainless steel can withstand the high temperatures of ceramic firing, but turns matte black. |
