Show PAUL ELLINGSON (1938- ). Goaf Car at U'.R Depot (1983), watercolor; 24x38". This Salt Lake City master of the unencumbered watercolor brush is one of the most interesting people working and thinking in our state today. A graduate of the University of Utah (B.F.A. in architecture and music, and an M.F.A. in painting), Ellingson is a fine jazz pianist and music company executive; an architectural theorist whose concept of the "continumorph" is fascinating and potentially a "landmark" in the evolution of environmental design; and a painter who understands the watercolor medium better than most of his coNeagues do. |
