Show 2.4 Results of application to a forge furnace and observations A PAX-R burner system was applied to a batch type forge furnace and the performance was evaluated. Main specifications of the furnace, burner, and system are shown in Table 2 while the appearance is shown in Fig. 6. Before this application, this furnace was previously mounted with nozzle mixing gas burners and a conventional flue type recuperator, pre-heated air temperature was about 200°C. Main performance data are shown in Fig. 7 to 9. Table 2. With the installation of the regenerative burner system, energy savings of about 4 7 % were achieved. |
