Description |
Differentiating papilledema from pseudo-papilledema is one of the most challenging diagnostic dilemmas encountered by ophthalmologists. In the pediatric population this dilemma is even more crucial and challenging. No single imaging method or diagnostic test was found to be accurate in distinguishing papilledema from pseudopapilledema. OCT has been used in adults and in a few pediatric studies with promising results. Our purpose was to evaluate whether OCT can be used to differentiate papilledema from pseudo-papilledema in pediatric patients. |
