Description |
Pseudotumor Cerebri (PTC) Syndrome, is a condition of elevated intracranial pressure with an unknown cause. One secondary cause of PTC is cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST), which is uncommon in the pediatric age group. The objective was to describe the demographic data, clinical features and outcomes in a subset of pediatric patients diagnosed with PTC in the setting of CVST. A retrospective observational study of pediatric patients (ages 0 to 18) first diagnosed with PTC and CVST between January 2001 to May 2021. Demographic data, BMI, details of ophthalmic examination, ophthalmic investigations, response to treatment were analyzed. |
