Description Medulloepitheliomas are very rare tumors thought to arise from the embryonic neural tube. These tumors occur in early life and may involve any part of the CNS, including the cerebral hemispheres, cerebellum, brainstem, ventricular system, and spinal cord. Medulloepitheliomas may be confused with PNETs, but they do not have as aggressive a clinical course.
