The purpose of this paper is twofold. The first part of this paper will contain a general discussion of inventories and their use in small industry. The second part of this paper will describe a procedure that was developed for setting up a proper inventory control program for a small hospital supply and hospital kit assembly plant which will be referred to throughout this paper as WHS. This procedure was developed as a project that was done for WHS by the author. The second part of this paper will also include general information that could easily be used by many different types of small industry in setting up inventory control methods |
