Description |
Hotel Vernal opened June 28, 1947. It was built at a cost of $350,000 and financed by a group of stockholders. The new hotel had sixty guest rooms, barber shop, beauty shop, a haberdashery, fountain, coffee shop, and restaurant. Vernal's first radio station, KJAM, was housed in the basement. When it opened it was said to be the finest small hotel in the United States. |
