Cultural Revitalization in Downtown Salt Lake City

In 1930 the city of Pittsfield Massachusetts had a population of over 50,000 people and was bustling with cultural and economic vitality. The city, like so many others, was one of the beneficiaries of the industrialization of the country. The majority of residents in the city typically worked one of about five occupations. As the era of industrialization moved and morphed, Pittsfield was left with very little in the way of employment opportunities. What remained after this time was less than half the population but a strong city infrastructure.
