Description |
Excavation tools are leaning up against a dinosaur bone at the Dinosaur Monument. It is a partial scapula (shoulder blade) of a sauropod (long necked dinosaur) found by FERA while expanding the trench for the future quarry building. A group of men from the CWA (Civilian Works Administration) and the FERA (Federal Emergency Relief Administration) worked and lived at the Monument under the supervision of Dr. Albert C. Boyle, geologist and custodian of the Dinosaur National Monument. |
