Scheme electron microscopy. Mature B and T lymphocytes are ameboid cells (5-8 m) with a high nucleus-cytoplasmic ratio. The cytoplasm contains a juxta-nuclear Golgi area (1) with centrioles (2), few large mitochondria (3) and sparsely profiles of rough endoplasmic reticulum (4) are present. The surface exhibits short microvilli (5). |
