Description |
Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis (CVST), an obstruction that impedes neurovascular drainage, is a rare condition typically seen in younger, female patients. Risk factors include infectious and inflammatory diseases, hematologic disorders, and mechanical precipitants. CVST often results in elevated intracerebral pressure (ICP).1-2 Presenting symptoms include headache, vision loss, seizures, sensorimotor deficits, or mental status changes.3 Patients typically require anticoagulation and management of elevated ICP, as well as treatment of underlying conditions. |
