J.A. Cheney, Ernest Untermann and Tyrell Seager of the Vernal Lions Club look at the dinosaur casts at the Utah Field House. The Lions Club made it there goal to bring the 75-foot long diplodocus back to its home in Vernal. The Carnegie Museum offered to give the molds from the original diplodocus to the Utah Field House if they paid the freight. Grant Southam, a Vernal truck driver, offered to transport the molds from Pittsburg at cost. |
