0178_184_006Correspondence of Marriner S. Eccles with J. Paschal ("Pack") Dreibelbis, who served as General Counsel of the Federal Reserve System during Mr. Eccles's time as Chairman. Later he was a Vice President at Bankers Trust Company in New York. The letters reflect an ongoing friendship and the subject matter is often personal, but sometimes includes discussion of the economic and political affairs of the day. Includes copies of letters sent in 1967 from Mr. Dreibelbis to Lee Silberman of the Wall Street Journal and New York Mayor John Lindsay; and copies of letters exchanged in 1969 between Mr. Dreibelbis and Congressman Wright Patman, discussing the Federal Reserve System, inflation, and the "science of money."
