The modern clinical concept of the Pulfrich phenomenon is a stereoillusion effect which occurs when viewing a pendulum swinging perpendicular to the observer. It has been reported in optic neuropathies and macular disease. The Pulfrich effect can also be produced by placing a monocular neutral density filter. |
