The boundaries established for this survey included unincorporated areas of south Summit County not surveyed in the first phase. Phase 2 included Francis, Woodland, and recreational areas along Hwys 35 and 150. Phase 2 began at the north border of the community of Francis at the point where Phase 1 ended. Resources were recorded along Hwy 32 (also known as SR 32 and North Main St in Francis). At the intersection of SR 32 and 35, the survey was first conducted along the west route of SR 32 to the border of Summit County. The survey proceeded along other streets in Francis: Hilltop Dr, Lower River Rd, 1000 E, South Spring Hollow, South Willow Way, Foothill Dr and Gines Ln. The survey then took SR 35 (West Main) east out of Francis into the community of Woodland and the eastern border of the county. The survey also included the Killkare Way area of Woodland. Hwy 150 (Mirror Lake Hwy) proceeding east from Kamas was the final portion of the survey. Resources were recorded in the Samak recreation area along Hwy 150 to the Trial Lake recreation area and the eastern border of the county. |
