Description This figure illustrates a very different after image experience. Look at the square of yellow circles at the bottom of this figure for about half a minute then shift focus suddenly to the white square above. Instead of seeing the complement of the yellow circles (blue), diamond shapes are seen- the leftover shapes of the circles- in yellow. This illusion is a double and thus reversed after image, sometimes called contrast reversal.
