Description Home movie (9 minutes, 7 seconds on 8 mm film, color) from the late 1940s, showing footage from a Pioneer Day parade on Main Street, Salt Lake City. Among the participants are Governor Herbert Maw, LDS President George Albert Smith and his two counselors, Boy Scout troops, school marching bands, floats,etc. Filmed from near Fourth South and Main, and seen in background are the U.S. Post Office and the Hotel Newhouse.
