Spatial Coverage Salt Lake City, Salt Lake county, Utah, United States
CA+P Course Mimi Locher; Jake Gines; John Diamond; Shane Trump; Architectural Design Studio I; Fall Semester 2008
Description Our installation is based on the concept of community. Community is something active, something in motion, drawing on the past and ever growing, adapting and readapting. It is bound by ritual and tradition. It is made of individuals, rich with character, each from a different place, but coming together to form one great whole. Each tube represents an individual, joining together to form groups: each one framing a different point of view, which all become part of a greater form. A pattern with each addition, becomes deeper and more intricate; eventually covering us all... All materials were salvaged or donated and will be recycled after dismantling. Special Thanks to: Carpet One, Ace Hardware, SBR Technologies, Local Upholstery shops, and the Trolley Square Management.
