Description |
Don Huffaker, vice-president of the Vernal Rod and Gun Club, points to one the the thousands of pits that well be hand seeded with deer browse. Hundreds of volunteers armed with garden rakes and seed containers helped with the reseeding project above the Marve Jackson ranch on Brush Creek. More that 1000 acres was involved in the project. Crested wheat was already sown with an airplane by the BLM. Hand plantings shows very good results. The Reseeding project is a joint effort of the BLM, the State Dept. of Fish and Game and local sportsmen. |
