Description The Utah Foreign Language Review is published annually by the Publishing Council at the University of Utah and the Department of Languages and Literature. The Utah Foreign Language Review welcomes essays, in English or any other language, on the topic chosen for the year. The journal is receptive to a variety of subjects, whether general or specific and to all scholarly methods and theoretical perspectives. The ideal Utah Foreign Language Review essay addresses a significant problem relevant to the annual topic, delineates research findings, and engages the reader through a concise and clear presentation. The Utah Foreign Language Review, operated entirely by graduate students, welcomes submissions from scholars of all ranks. Articies should not exceed a maximum of 30 pages. The Utah Foreign Language Review urges its contributors to be sensitive to the social implications of language and to strive for a wording free of discriminatory tones. The creative writing part of the Utah Foreign Language Review is meant to present inventive and artistic approaches to language. The creative writing portion of the journal should be in harmony with the annual topic. This issue's topic: Globalization, Borders, and Nation. This issue contains 67 pages.
