These photographs were taken for the 1940-1941 edition of the Uintah High School Yearbook. They are located on page 35. This page documents the junior students graduating the next year in 1942. The photo in the upper left corner is of the junior prom committee. Back row from left to right: unidentified boy, unidentified boy, unidentified boy, Eldon Oaks (vice president of the junior class), and an unidentified girl. Front row, from left to right: Marion Preas (junior class president), unidentified boy, unidentified girl, unidentified girl. The photo is titled "The out-come-a successful Prom". The photograph on the right side of the page is of Melvin Hodgkinson reciting something historical. If the caption is any indication, he may be reciting President Abriham Lincoln's Gettysburg address. The caption is: "Four score and seven years ago". NOTE: the pages 33-35 were printed in reverse order and were bound in the book that way. |
