Description |
Men place explosives in a crevice in a rocky hillside at Dinosaur Monument. The men from a FERA camp were responsible for removing the overburden in the quarry area. They are removing explosives from a storage built into a crevice in the hillside which is used in the excavation. A group of men from the CWA (Civilian Works Administration) and the FERA (Federal Emergency Relief Administration) worked and lived at the Monument under the supervision of Dr. Albert C. Boyle, geologist and custodian of the Dinosaur National Monument. |
