Announcement SEEING CONTOUR AND COLOUR The Third International Symposium of the Northern Eye Institute IBRO Satellite Symposium Manchester, England, August 9-13, 1987 © 1987 Raven Press, New York These annual international symposia, held in Manchester under the auspices of the Northern Eye Institute, are published by Pergamon Press as a series of proceedings on "Vision and Visual Health Care." The 1987 meeting will be a satellite symposium of the Second World Congress of Neurosciences (Budapest, August 16-21, 1987) sponsored by the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO). The 1987 theme will be the physiological basis of, and possible interactions between, the neural processing of pattern and color. The general spirit of the meeting will be to promote the interdisciplinary exchange of information. Proposed sessions will include retinal, LGN and cortical processing mechanisms and associated theoretical models; the psychophysics of pattern and color vision; perceptual constancies, and the clinical applications of psychophysical and electrophysiological tests. All registered participants will be welcome to submit a communication in the form of a poster. In each section of the meeting internationally renowned speakers will describe current research findings, some submitted contributions may be selected for oral presentation and posters will be discussed. Neuro Ophthalmologist The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine is seeking a full-time neuro ophthalmologist. Responsibilities include teaching, patient care, and research. Candidates must be at least Board Eligible and have completed no less than one year of specialty training in neuro ophthalmology.
