Subject Vestibular, Miscellaneous
Description Vestibular migraine (VM) has been increasingly recognized as a distinct clinical entity, implying vestibular symptoms during migraine without objectively demonstrated interictal vestibulopathy. Recently, both the Bárány Society and the Migraine Classification Subcommittee of the International Headache Society have proposed original diagnostic criteria for VM, which have been included in the recent edition of the International Classification of Headache Disorders (ICHD-3). The migraine prophylactic medications significantly improved the headache profiles as well as the parameters of dizziness. However, in many patients, VM attacks are severe and long-lasting, and frequent even though the prophylactic treatments.
