Description Descriptions of pituitary adenomas invading the orbit are extremely uncommon with patients presenting with diminishing visual function and proptosis.[1,2] In this report, we describe an elderly patient with hemorrhage of a pituitary tumor within the orbit. To our knowledge this is the only description of a patient diagnosed with pituitary apoplexy of the orbit. We present the first reported case of a female with a large invasive and hemorrhagic prolactinoma of the orbit.
