Description Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) can be sensitised to cerebral blood oxygenation changes and thus used to investigate brain function non-invasively. During functional MRI activation of the visual cortex a wide range of rest/stimulus cycle durations (40-360 seconds) have been used.
