Title Remodeled 26th District School Building
Subject Murray City Schools; Woodstock Elementary; District 26 School; Class Pictures
Description Group photo of the 26th District School student body, in front of the remodeled Woodstock Elementary. There was no water in the building or bathroom facilities. The school was heated by a large coal stove with a shield about two-thirds around it to reflect the heat out into the room. David W. Moffett was the principal and a teacher in 1883. Photo is from a memory book about Woodstock Elementary, "Woodstock Memories 1906-1976", prepared by Eva Joan Northrup for the commemoration of the nation's bicentennial. (Book is MCM.2016.10.2 in the museum's collection.)
