Show Tabulated data from the complete test program, and a more detailed evaluation of the results are presented in Reference 2. 3. 9 PPM LOW NOx WATERTUBE BOILER CASE HISTORY The Cribari Winery in Fresno, California, owned by Canandaigua Wine Company of Canandaigua, N e w York installed a boiler with an Alzeta C S B in mid-1999. The Fresno wine facility operates several wine and alcohol production lines. Prior to installation of the new package boiler, steam for plant operations was provided by one package boiler and four brick-set boilers. Three of the brick-set boilers were taken out of service and replaced by the one new 50,000 lb/hr package boiler. The boiler was sold to Cribari by Nationwide Boiler, Incorporated (NBI) of Fremont, California. The boiler was manufactured by Nebraska Boiler as a 60,000 lb/hr boiler, and was part of the NBI rental fleet for several years prior to the sale to Cribari. The boiler, as designed, had a specified efficiency when using natural gas as fuel of 78.9 percent. The Alzeta burner was sized to meet the 50,000 lb/hr stream capacity required by the customer. Performance specifications for the Alzeta burner are presented in Table 1. Burner emissions were guaranteed over a 4:1 turndown range, with the following emissions guaranteed (all values corrected to 3 percent 0 2 dry) at nominally 65 percent excess combustion air: Emissions Performance Guarantees NOx CO VOC (unburned hydrocarbons) < 9 ppmvd < 50 ppmvd < 10 ppmvd 4 |
