The 1974 Superior Tire-B.F. Goodrich Golf Classic attracted top golf stars. The competition was planned to be three days long. Contestants arrived early to familiarize themselves with the course. From left to right, Craig Hart, Willie Barber, Jay Burreston, Ken Sowards, and Doug Hart were on hand at the municipal course. Craig Hart was an amateur contender. Willie Barber was the California runner-up to the 1973 National Senior Professional Championship. Jay Burreston was the Men's Golf Association president. Ken Sowards was a co-sponsor of the classic. Doug Hart was a local golf contender. |
