The Western Federation of Watercolor Societies is a collective partnership amongst several Watercolor Societies in the Western United States. Every year this federation sponsors an annual juried exhibition of collage and water-based media. The thirty-ninth annual exhibition was hosted by the Arizona Watercolor Association at the Fountain Hills Community Center. Cheng-Khee Chee juried the show and selected 110 paintings out of 1096 entries.The Best of Show Award winner was A Simple Plan by Charles Rouse, a member of the San Diego Watercolor Society. The Award Excellence winner was Fruit Punch by Monica Pate, a member of Tucson Watercolor Society. The president Arizona Watercolor Association was Jeremy Jones in 2014. |
