Most letters touched on various private matters not connected with his work as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve. Includes a series of letters related to the University of Utah conferring an honorary degree on him at the June 8 commencement ceremonies; and a series of letters exchanged with G. Howard Geddes in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, who was in a business of producing babusu kernels.
