Description History: 18 year old with a left proptosis. Anatomy: Optic Nerve. Clinical: LT Proptosis X 3 months VA R 6/6 1+LAPD L 6/12 H R 13 Lt Disc Edema L 18 Lt Nasal Field Defect. Disease Diagnosis: Neurilemmoma; Schwannoma. Neuroimaging: Normal right Optic Nerve. Edematous left Optic Nerve as the result of compression by the tumor. A large round tumor in the left orbit. A part of the tumor compressing the left Optic Nerve nasally. A large lesion enhancing in the left orbit. The coronal view with enhancement showing the large size of the left orbital schwannoma. Pathology: A gross specimen of the typical schwannoma. A higher pattern of the schwann cells of the schwannoma. Presenting Symptom: Left proptosis. Treatment: Surgical removal of tumor. The post-operative's appearance of the patient three months later with recovery of vision to 20/30 also the improvement of the relative Afferent Pupillary Defect and improvement in his visual field.
