Saint Matthew's Lutheran Church [11]

Address: 2654 West Builders Drive (5200 S. / 2700 W.), Taylorsville, UT. Affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). This church resulted from the 1987-88 merger of two other churches that date to the 1950s: St. Paul's Lutheran in Kearns and Atonement Lutheran in West Valley City. Initially meeting at the West Valley location, 2040 W. 3500 South [no longer extant], they dedicated a new building in Taylorsville in 1992. Some other congregations, including Alpha and Omega Church, a Seventh-day Adventist church, have met at Saint Matthew's in recent years.
