We designed a prospective study enrolling consecutive patients who presented to the Ophthalmology or Neurology Clinics at our institutions (Boston Medical Center and Boston Veterans Administration Medical Center) for evaluation of: 1) probable or definite amaurosis fugax (transient monocular blindness); 2) retinal emboli; 3) retinal artery occlusion; and/or 4) ischemic optic neuropathy. |
