Show "5- 11. The Uncompahgres who have not obtained allotments on their own reservation should be allotted on the Uintah Reservation. The allotments made by the Uncompahgre Commission on the Uintah reservation should stand as made and need not be included in your schedule. These allottees however are entitled to additional allotments of grazing land. 12. You will prepare separate schedules (in duplicate) of the allotments made to each of the three bands, each family being grouped by itself, and the relationship of each member to the head thereof shown in the column of remarks. The name of the wife (legal) should be inserted in the schedule immediately under the name of the husband (for the purpose of identification) but she should not be numbered as an allottee (unless being under age she is entitled to an allotment). When persons have both English and Indian (or Spanish) names, or are known by more than one name, each should be given, and care taken to have them properly spelled and plainly written. For purposes of identification you will deliver a certificate of selection to each person for each of the allotments seleoted by him and explain to him that it will be necessary for him to present the certificate to the Agent when the patents are issued in order to obtain the same. The sex and oge of each allottee should be given in the proper columns. The column of remarks should indicate whether each subdivision |
