| Description |
Black and white photograph taken during experiments by Edward La Chapelle using explosives for snow removal and avalanche control in February and March of 1966. This photo shows the cornice being blasted with a 15-pound shaped charge. No evidence of cutting action was observed. Note the break in the cornice did not even extend in to the blast crater. |
