Description |
Hank Stewart is on the right with a patron that used the ferry to cross the Green River. Hank married his second wife, Elsie Wardle, on September 5, 1919. They ended up at Sand Wash to make their home. A son, Arden, was born in May of 1925 and they worked to be and industrious family. They were on good relation with the Ute Indian. It was May of 1937 that Hank and his neighbor, Tom McKenna, took a piece of farm equipment across the river. The swirling river took them in and they were drowned. Vernal Express 1937-05-20 |
