David Bennion

David Bennion was born February 1, 1865. He came to Ashley Valley in 1901 with his wife Clara Pehrson Bennion. He began work at the Uintah Creamery Company. He then was a bookkeeper at the Ashley Co-operative. He worked at the Bank of Vernal for several years and then was appointed postmaster of Vernal City. He served as mayor from 1912 to 1913. He moved to Afton, Wyoming, where he died December 1, 1937.
