The Western Federation of Watercolor Societies is a collective partnership amongst several Watercolor Societies in the Western United States. Every year this federation sponsors an annual juried exhibition of collage and water-based media. The eighth annual exhibition was hosted by San Diego Watercolor Society at the Atrium Imperial Bank Building. E.J. Verlardi and Pat Berger juried the show and selected 75 paintings out of 739 entries. The First Award winner was Bagscape by Fran Larsen, a member of the New Mexico Watercolor Society. The David Gale Memorial winner was Woman in a Maze by Ann Ahlswede, a member of the San Diego Watercolor Society. |
