Civil War, "Staff at Cove Spring, near Stevenson, Alabama, before the great battle of Chickamauga in Georgia. The 123rd Reg. participated in these preliminary battles and Chickamauga, which are known in history as some of the bloodiest battles of the war. In 1877, J. Morgan served as a Mormon missionary and taught and baptized many of the same people who had fought in the bloody war fourteen years earlier."
