Additional Information The Battle Creek power plant was built around 1906 by the Telluride Power Company (which later became part of Utah Power and Light). Water diverted from the north fork of Battle Creek ran through a pipeline to a reservoir, and from there it dropped through a steep penstock to the power plant near the mouth of Battle Creek. The neoclassical building that housed the generators is gone, but its site is now in Pleasant Grove's Kiwanis Park.
