It later became part of the Western Colorado Power Company (organized in 1913). Its facilities included: Terminal Dam (created Electra Lake and stood from 1906 to 1980); Power Flume no. 1 (delivered water from Electra to Forebay Lake); Forebay Lake; the penstock (enclosed water pipe) that delivered water down a nearly 1,000-foot drop; the Tacoma Powerhouse by the Animas River, which housed the generators; and a 44,000-volt transmission line to a substation at Silverton.
