Description Black and white photo of Don Branson's race car (part of it). The front suspension was removed and put on another car in an attempt to qualify the other car for the Indianapolis 500 Race in May 1965. A pit stop chalkboard sign sits in front of what's left of Branson's car with the words "Sorry 'Bout That!" written on it. Don Branson was killed in November 1966 while racing at Ascot Park in Gardena, California. He raced at Indianapolis from 1959 to 1966.

Some of them are shown in the Rose Park neighborhood where Gary Dean Brown lived; and many of them were taken at the Bonneville Salt Flats raceway east of Wendover, Utah, where many land speed records were broken. There are also photos taken at race tracks elsewhere in the country where Gary Dean Brown worked, including Indianapolis and Phoenix
