Title |
Glen Canyon scenery. |
Photo Number |

Description |
Photo shows a desert scene in the Glen Canyon region, probably of the old Utah Highway 95 descending North Wash to reach the right bank of The Colorado where it then followed the river southwards for four miles down to the ferry crossing at Hite. Note the older/alternative track on the other side of the stream. This road was notoriously prone to washing out. Straight ahead, beyond the block formation at the mouth of North Wash, is where the modern Hite Marina would be constructed. The photographer, Gus Scott, was in the region of 37.879N, 110.4275W at an elevation of approximately 3620 feet above sea level. |
