Description Electron microscopy. Megakaryocytes (1) are commonly found in adult spleen of rodents. In this area they are located just at the border of the white pulp (WP) with a variety of lymphocytes (3). In the splenic cords (Billroth) of the red pulp (RP) erythrocytes (2) are found.
