Description |
Using polarizing microscopy the birefringence of the crystalline structure of enamel is colorful demonstrated. Incremental lines (striae) of Retzius are well shown as straight oblique zones. Note the parallel lines of enamel stacks at the left corner of the picture. At the right side the lightly coloured dentin with tubules. |
