Description |
Stain: Picric acid and hematoxylin. From left to right: Periodontal ligament with blood vessels. Acellular cementum (dark purple rim). Dentin with radiair arrangement of dentinal tubules; fine incremental (imbrication) lines of von Ebner run at right angles to these tubules. These lines represent diurnal alterations in calcification and orientation of collagen and indicate growth pattern of dentin. The dark concentric zone near the pulp consists of secondary dentin. Pulp chamber with irregular layer of odontoblasts (dark nuclei) and some pulp connective tissue. |
